Here you go - @bitnami tothe rescue! Bitnami just released a (completely free of charge) BitNami Stack for OSQA: http://bitnami.org/stack/osqa It includes everything that you need to install OSQA and is available as a native installer for Linux, Windows and OS X, as well as in the form of a virtual appliance / virtual machine (with Ubuntu or OpenSUSE) or as an AMI (Amazon Machine Image) for Amazon. @bitnami says: "We built this package because we're using OSQA ourselves and wanted to make it easier for others to deploy." |
Qazqaz11, I spent about 6 hours configurating my VPS centOS server and I was finally able to get it running. The biggest tip I can tell you is:
Follow the wiki install page for centOS and keep viewing the error_log file in OSAQ that you make. At the end of each error it will tell you what is jacked up.
I ended up having issues with sql lite and the other database options and I finally just did it via mySQL and it is now running very nicely.
I also had issues with my virtual host file, but after bashing it awhile, I was able to get it running.
