I'm thinking about implementing buttons to send out the Q or A to hopefully both twitter and facebook.

As far as i know, the current implementation of login is based on either facebook or twitter. What if a twitter user want to have a facebook identity to sent out a link to both of them?

That is not correct. You can combine as many authentication providers as you want, even multiple facebook or twitter accounts. Go to your profil, click on user tools, authentication settings, and click add new provider. Repeat as long as you would like to add all the providers you need.
