Hi there, I am wondering what topics I am aloud to post about. Does it matter? or Can I post about anything? I quit using lockergnome.net and I am thinking about coming here, but I need to be able to ask questions regarding various things. Ie: politics, technology, computers, news around the world, etc. Is this ok? Thanks, Jameel |

Jameel, as Rick says, this site is specifically for questions and answers about OSQA software. OSQA is the software behind many question-and-answer sites, including this one. There are lots of other question-and-answer sites across the web, in addition to lockergnome. StackOverflow is the most famous one, and is specifically for questions about programming. Most question-and-answer sites tend to be on specific topics - lockergnome is unusual in being pretty broad in the sort of questions it accepts. Here is a list of question-and-answer sites that are run on OSQA, the software we talk about here. There are plenty more lists like this, such as sites that run Askbot and sites on StackExchange; and, for a list of sites that are trying to get off the ground, see Area51 at StackExchange And if you want to participate in discussions but aren't tied to the question-and-answer format, there are hundreds of thousands of mailing lists, forums and bulletin-boards out there: many are topic-specific, lots are very general. |

Hi Jamell, this meta.osqa.net site is exclusively for questions related to installing, using and extending the OSQA program, itself. It would not be appropriate to post about general issues like politics and news here. Thanks for asking. Rick |
