I know it's configurable - why is Meta Osqa configured to disallow me from accepting my own answers?

I accepted an answer to my question OK. When you say you can't, the icon to accept isn't displayed or simply does nothing?

@David - for me, the icon isn't displayed, for example on this question: http://meta.osqa.net/questions/7078/what-is-the-root-user-password-in-the-ec2-osqa-image. @Hernani wrote that it's "disallowed on this site".

Oh, your own answers to your own questions, no. That makes sense, otherwise people could inflate their own karma.

That doesn't seem to cause such a karma boost on StackOverflow. It leaves questions that are valid, and answered, without any accept answers - which is a shame. I would like us to clean up the bloated 'Unanswered Questions' tab, and this should be a part of that effort.
