See this question for "How to backup OSQA" - I am trying to use the internal backup, either via the Django or OSQA interfaces, and it simply doesn't do anything (see issue 612). Has anyone been able to successfully backup OSQA lately via the internal interface, and is willing to help?

I'm running r863 (just updated).

I know this was asked long ago, but I wanted to throw in my two cents. I was having issues with permissions backing up via the backup interface, and I had to do the following:

chown daemon:daemon {installpath}/osqa/forum_modules/exporter/backups
chown daemon:daemon {installpath}/osqa/forum_modules/exporter/tmp

I am using a bitnami stack install of OSQA though, and the user that needs write access to these folders might be different for your install (ie it might be apache). Best to do a ps awwfux and see what is running apache, and then chown the folders for that user.
