Not asking anybody to do it but being a .NET programmer and not a Python programmer I have no reference point to start from. Is there any resources on creating an 'add-in'/'module' whatever its called. If I can get it working would be happy to contribute it back to the community. I have seen a few command line Python libraries for tweeting so i assume it would be just calling those correctly EDIT: Something else I have seen is people sending out tweets that they answered a question etc. might be cool to get peoples Twitter account and respond to them that the question was answered. |

You could just use something like http://twitterfeed.com/ to feed the RSS to a Twitter account. Adding a TweetMeme button would work for tweeting an answer as well. Well I had a tweetme button using a social bookmark thing i found around the web on the right sidebar - but the twitterfeed idea is inspired! Don't know why i didn't think of it !!!!!!

Twitterfeed could be used to post to a Twitter account of the site, but the right thing to do in my opinion is to post the question to the Twitter account of the user (if he wants to tweet it, of course). To do that we need more Twitter integration inside OSQA.

@Oscar - why would I post to my twitter account? If i wanted to ask to my tweeps I would ask them - I want to get the question out to more people who may have followed the site account. More people = more answers

It could be an option. I have seen people tweeting questions and answers they have made, so I think that if tweeting them was easier more people would tweet them.

+1. We'd love to have more Twitter integration features, both tweet-on-question and notify-via-tweet.
