If I have the test 'this is a test' in the editor, and highlight it, then click the blockquote button, then the following is the result when using Chrome 6:

this is a test

this is a test> this is a testthis is a test

this is a test

Looks like a bug on the editor. When did you noticed it? Around the time you asked the question? Because I think it was around that time we updated the editor.

Yes - I noticed it pretty quickly because I'm always spending ages on Ask.SSC when I should be making products...

That being said, though, I can't be sure when Chrome decided to update itself to Chrome 6. It doesn't ask me, just goes ahead and does it.

+1 - Yes, its been like this for a week or two now ... and its a real drag to format things nicely while its like this

Do you guys notice the same behavior here http://wmd-editor.com/demo? I gave it a spin, but I'm still on chrome 5.

Just sent an email to the wmd creators regarding this bug.

Hi Hernâni,

I don't get the same error using that demo

@Thomas, the blockquote thing?

(27 Oct '10, 10:16) Hernani Cerq... ♦♦

I get a similar problem when attempting to create a list. I enter 1. First list item and hit enter, and it attempts to create a second list item but gives me two or three copies of it. I'm using Chrome 7 but it did this on Chrome 6 as well. Works fine on Firefox.

This is happening a lot with Chrome 7, but not just limited to block quote... lists, etc. all have similar symptom... where IE/Firefox does not have the issue...

Regarding the wmd-editor demo site, I don't get the same behavior on that one. The problem in chrome that we see here is when it tries to fill in the next line for like a list item after you press enter. The demo doesn't do that.

  • List -
  • List item-

-

Is what I get after using the button to start a list, type list, then press enter. See the markup though, can't figure out how to get code display in markdown without the widget :/

Mine was solved when I removed some javascript snippet I have already added. it works now

This behavior is not observed in the latest OSQA 1.0 Release, since the WMD editor has been updated and patched and now it works fine on Chrome.
