Which is the sorting algorithm for "hottest" ?

1	I don't understand which is the criteria for sorting this: http://meta.osqa.net/questions/?sort=hottest sort asked 13 Jul '10, 05:03 Oscar ♦ 2.1k●37●61●69 accept rate: 27%

oldest newest most voted

We're actually still experimenting with the hottest algorithm so that it is different than most viewed. I believe it has something to do with questions that have the most recently posted answers or comments or listed first.

Yes but currently "hottest" is not sorting by "most viewed"...
