Try searching for 'tag' and sorting by 'newest'.

Question 'Tag autocompletion not working' should appear at the top of the search results, but it's somewhere in the middle. Why?

Got the same problem - any sorting (newest/voted/active/whatever) doesn't change the order of searched results

The problem is not the sort by newest, is the sort by newst (or any other sort) while searching. The results come pre-ordered by relevancy from the server. Don't know when this is going to be fixed, but don't hold your breath, because I believe there are other priorities, and search listings are something very particular where in 99% of the cases, sort by relevancy is the intended sort.
