I followed this answer http://meta.osqa.net/question/85/themeskin-support#313, which mentioned creating a new folder for the theme then setting the OSQA_DEFAULT_SKIN variable in the settings_local.py. Then I replaced the logo.png and favicon.ico. I even restarted the server but the logo and favicon is still using the original one. |

Wow, we'd better find that old question and remove that obsolete information! Changing the logo and favicon couldn't be easier. Just go to the admin page, click on "Basic settings" in the sidebar, and upload a new logo and/or favicon image. It's like pressing the easy button! PS - you probably also need to change things back to how they were before you made that modification. 1
Hmmm... Wouldn't it be better if skins/themes can come with its own logo and favicon?

Well, since we distribute precisely one skin/theme right now, I guess you could say they do! Even after we have implemented full theming, we will still probably implement logo image and favicon as core settings. Every time I install a wordpress or drupal site for someone, it is one of the first things I end up changing.

When switching to a language other than English via LANGUAGE_CODE = 'cn', I can't upload a logo anymore. It doesn't appear neither in admin, nor on the site. No problems with uploads in English. Anyone has an answer/workaround? 1
Ok, I'm officially dumb. Translated the path in the localization file :P
