It can be safely used with Django 1.1 up to 1.3.x

Why do you ask that? As far as I know, django 1.2 is not backwards incompatible with older djangos since 1.0. And I've been experimenting even with beta versions and found no django1.2 specific problem so far.

So my best answer to your question, is that you can expect OSQA to be compatible with django 1.2 since the release day.

But how about Django 1.3 release or 1.3.x trunk?

Yes, it runs on 1.3. As an example, the biggest OSQA deployment is currently running with django 1.3.

But can the current svn code running on 1.3 without any hack?

I just said it can.

Yup, I can bear out what Hernani says - it works well with Django 1.3
