It may be that I'm confused but it seems that OSQA handles tag concatenation differently than other QA engines.. ie.. users don't have the ability to narrow question list by selecting several tags that filter the list.. (mini tag clouds) Thanks

Yeah, that's true. The current taxonomy system does not work very well, but I'm working on it, and there will be improvements shortly.

..good to hear its on the hit list... I sort of like the approach where users can drill down into a large set of questions by selecting several tags... but I'm not sure how I feel about tagging answers.. adds complexity but could be good feature if done right

Are there any news on the subject? We've recently started to use OSQA but its current search capabilities are not as efficient and flexible as that on SO.

There are some improvements with tags, specially regarding some limitations with foreign characters and other stuff. Multitag search is still not there but almost :-)
