Hello, I don't know if there is an OSQA job board that would be more appropriate for this but we are seeking a contract Django/Python developer familiar w/ the OSQA codebase to make some customizations to our OSQA instance (shortsaleopedia.com). I posted this Elance project that summarizes what we're looking to do and anyone interested can contact me via Elance or by contacting me directly (admin at shortsaleopedia.com).

And again, if there is a more appropriate place for me to be posting this opportunity I apologize for the ignorance and would appreciate any guidance. thanks!

Honestly, this isn't really an appropriate place, but neither is there an active venue that would really be more appropriate. We maintain a developer's listserv, but almost nobody uses it because they mostly come here.

Your Elance posting should be able to do the trick, and you can always speak to us at DZone. Since we are the authors, owners and maintainers of OSQA you'd have a hard time finding anyone who even comes close to our skill and experience with it. Good luck.

Rick, thanks for your response. Is it http://www.dzone.com ? It seems like a developer zine vs. a software consultancy. Can you refer me to the person most appropriate for me to speak with about contracting you guys for this project? TIA

You can contact sales@dzone.com, and someone will get back to you quickly. Also, you might enjoy taking a look at our enterprise-grade product, Qato (qato.com).
