Sorry, I'm not using Facebook, the guides are pretty neat and you should be able to follow them.

Secondly, I don't know if my Linux hosting is capable of installing that or not!

@Akshay, DZone may soon begin to offer professionally hosted OSQA as a commercial offering. It would basically provide all your setup, maintenance, backup and updates as part of the service. Additionally, we will supply some outstanding OSQA plugins that DZone has developed for our internal use. Perhaps this will be a good option for you? Running OSQA does require a certain level of sysadmin expertise, and not everyone wants to become a sysadmin expert!

@Akshay, DZone is the maker of OSQA. Nobody knows the product better than our team does.

So, Can you give me the Easy linux hosting script so that I can host this.

@Akshay, I don't know anything about the "Easy linux hosting script" you mentioned above. People have installed OSQA successfully on dozens and dozens of different linux hosting systems, so you should be able to do so if you want to. If you're talking about a particular hosting firm you want to use, then you would need to ask them what level of support they provide for Django and Python. We will not be able to assist you at a 3rd-party hosting company.

So, No one can help me or guide me. There should be a Newbee level of Installation Guide.. :)

@Akshay, there are step-by-step guides on the OSQA wiki. What part of the process has stalled you?

Alternate guide to installing osQA on linux using virtualenv apache2 and mod_wsgiI wrote a linux install guide which installs osQA using virtualenv, apache, and mod_wsgi: http://www.foxhop.net/django-virtualenv-apache-mod_wsgi I basically outline the steps I took to roll out my lostquery.com website. |
